British artist Lucy Sparrow unveiled her “Blessed Be the Fruit” installation at the SCOPE Art Show in Miami Beach, showcasing over 20,000 felt fruit and vegetable sculptures. Enlisting Fatboy Slim as a playful greengrocer, Sparrow’s market-themed exhibit celebrates wholesomeness and nature. Alongside her signature stuffed produce, Sparrow introduced 50 flat felt “paintings” and humorous “family portrait” artworks featuring anthropomorphic fruits with quirky phrases. Prices range from $10 strawberries to a $10,000 periodic table of produce. Known for blending traditional themes with whimsical mediums, Sparrow aims to bring joy while challenging perceptions of art.
