During the traditional Christmas party just before Christmas, Van der Ende Group and some 150 colleagues said goodbye to a very special colleague: Fons Barendse. After a 40-year career at Van der Ende Group, he is waving goodbye.
CEO Lex van der Ende: “As Van der Ende’s second employee, Fons played an important role in the company’s development. His tremendous dedication and expertise have contributed to successes such as the Enbar LVM (Low Volume Mist), Enmix agitator, the Envalve EC pre-control valve, and the self-priming Lowara ESH pump.” All are classics and proven solutions in the Maasdijk-based company’s product range.

Over the past four decades, Fons has contributed not only to the company but also to its culture. “With a heart of gold, a keen eye for detail, and his undeniable optimism, he was an inspiration and a rock.”

During the Christmas party, Fons shared the life course of his career, the huge transition the company is still in but also what Van der Ende is to him: a big family. As a token of appreciation, colleagues presented a scale-made Enbar as a gift. And how appropriate, all manufactured on their 3D printer.
In March, during the 40th anniversary celebrations, Van der Ende Group will once again reflect on his contribution and farewell. “We wish Fons all the best in the next phase of your life and hope to see you often!”
