Global delegates gather in California for 2025 International Protea Conference

Last week, the XX International Protea Association Conference and the XV International Protea Research Symposium took place in Temecula, California. This year’s theme of this Bi-Annual Conference was “United by Proteas.” The 2025 schedule included best practices, fresh ideas, creative solutions and networking opportunities, gathering 140 delegates from around the world.

Also Helix Australia took an active participation in the conference, including a Helix grower breakfast, conference sponsorship and MD Adrian Parsons presenting a speech on Helix Australia’s global Waxflower/ boronia program.

Parsons: “The conference was superb and the organizers led by Dianna, Roy, Kenneth Leonhardt, and Mel Resendiz worked tirelessly with attendees, gaining a lot of knowledge as well as developing and rekindling relationships across the Protea world.”

In addition to the 2-day conference program, attendees enjoyed 2 days of farm tours visiting a mixture of protea, waxflower and eucalyptus growers in addition to Altman Nursery and Bandy Ranch bouquet facility.
