Description
Abeliophyllum Distichum
A very close relative to the more well-known Forsythia, Abeliophyllum distichum is a stunning late winter/early spring flowering, deciduous shrub that boast pure white blooms as early as February, filling the air with its equally stunning fragrance. Through summer the blooms will hide away, only to take centre stage again, not with its white flowers, but its deeply rich purple foliage that is as unusual as it is handsome. Ideally planted near doors, pathways around patios and decking where its scent can be taken in fully. Height and spread: 150cm (59).
