Albizia julibrissin ‘Summer Chocolate’, a recipient of the prestigious RHS AGM, is a very attractive and intriguing Persian Silk Tree variety that produces contrasting bronze-purple foliage and purple-cream blooms. Despite it?s exotic appearance it is hardy down to -5°C, withstanding fairly inclement weather as a free-standing specimen plant. Ideally grow against a well sheltered but sunny wall spot, or in borders and large patio containers. For an indoor plant, grow inside a cool conservatory, blurring the lines between outdoor and indoor gardens! Height and spread: 6m (19′).
