Funnel-shaped, silky blooms in a rich red with contrasting yellow blotches at the throat and black speckling. Alstroemeria ‘Summer Pepper’ looks wildly exotic but is a cinch to grow. One of the longest flowering perennials you can find, Alstroemerias produce an inexhaustible display of flowers from June until the first frosts of October. This versatile plant is tall enough to jostle alongside other mid-border perennials or plant it into a patio container and provide a little support. The long stems of tropical blooms are also perfect for summer bouquets ? just keep picking them and more will be produced.   Height: 70cm (28in).
