Apple ‘Duo Apple’ has been grafted with two much-loved varieties, chosen for their growing performance in the UK and their superb flavour. Apple ‘Golden Delicious’ is an award-winning variety that is great for using as a cooking and dessert apple and thrives in warmer parts of the UK. An easy-to-grow variety that produces bumper crops of yellow-skinned fruits. To make the most of their sensational honey-like sweetness and crunchy texture, which differs from the Golden Delicious found in supermarkets, wait until the apples have turned bright yellow before picking. Excellent storage ability that can last through to March if stored appropriately. Apple ‘Elstar’ is an award-winning dessert variety. Boasting bumper crops of red apples marbled with golden-yellow. The fruits have a medium-firm, crunchy texture and strong honey-like flavour, with a good balance of acidity. ‘Duo Apple’ has been grafted onto a dwarf rootstock, making an excellent choice for smaller growing spaces and container growing.
