A mid-season dessert apple with a dense crop of characteristic russet-bronze fruits, tight, crispy flesh, and a rich, nutty flavour that makes it ideal for juicing and tarts, as well as an outstanding cheeseboard apple! It’s also a good pollinator for the ‘Cox’ and ‘Braeburn’ types. The apples can be harvested in October and stored until January. Because the apple ‘Egremont Russet’ is self-fertile and simple to grow, it’s great for gardens with only one tree.
