Apple ‘Laxton’s Superb,’ popular with the Victorians, is a classic, old-fashioned English apple with an orange-red blushed skin and crisp, firm flesh. The fruits are aromatic and sweet, similar to Cox’s Orange Pippin. This variety, on the other hand, is more hardy and thrives in cold or exposed environments. This dessert apple is harvested in October. Fruits can be stored until the end of January.
