Huge apples on a naturally compact variety! Discovered as a chance seedling, Apple ‘Megabite’ is a fast maturing, late variety, developing into a small tree with short branches that carry apples weighing up to 500g (1lb 2oz). Its small proportions make it perfect for growing in a large sunny container. The red-flushed fruits are ready for picking from late October. They are delicious as dessert apples with crisp, juicy flesh that does not turn brown after cutting. They are equally useful for cooking. Excellent resistance to scab and mildew.Season: Oct – Dec.Apple rootstock: MM106 – Semi dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 4m (13′).Pollination: Triploid variety.
