Astilbe is an excellent choice for damp, shady spots in soil that may become waterlogged from time to time. Plants are bushy and simple to care for. ‘Elisabeth van Veen’ has lovely raspberry-purple plumes that bloom in early summer. Astilbe grows well in both full sun and dappled shade and is an excellent addition to mixed cottage garden borders or as a patio plant for summer color. Height and Spread: 50cm (19).
