Baptisia ‘Decadence Dark Chocolate’ is part of an exciting new series of Baptisia hybrids that offer an enhanced colour range, a longer bloom period, and a more compact form?ideal for smaller gardens. This variety forms dense, bushy clumps of blue-green foliage, topped with striking spires of chocolate-purple flowers that resemble lupines. The flowers, reaching up to 25cm in length, begin to open in May from the bottom of the spike and continue through to late summer, creating a stunning display. After flowering, the plant produces distinctive black seed pods, adding visual interest into the fall.
