A vibrant, colourful barberry that adds a lot of interest to the garden! Berberis thunbergii ‘Chiquita’ has a neat, bushy, columnar habit and grows to a height of 1 metre (3 ft). The rounded foliage begins pink and deepens to burgundy, with a delicate pale gold margin. In late spring, tiny yellow flowers attract pollinating insects and are later replaced by slightly elongated, small scarlet fruits. This eye-catching deciduous shrub is adaptable and low-maintenance.
