Berberis thunbergii (Hedging)

Berberis thunbergia ? Japanese Barberry Berberis thunbergia blooms from April until May, it produces pale lemon-coloured flowers which cloak each lengthy branch. It has fresh bright green foliage, with its display continuing throughout the Autumn months as glossy red berries are then created and its leaflets turn to traditional shades of gold, burnt orange and deep red. This Berberis spreads to around 250cm and grows in height to 100cm, it would look superb grown in a cottage or wildlife garden where it can expand beautifully. Japanese Barberry can also be used as a fantastic specimen plant, where it will grow easily in a sunny yet shaded spot showing off its tightly woven eye-catching neat foliage.
