?Maria? is a striking Berberis, that flowers from April until July. It generates bundles of nectar rich yellow blooms, that attract lots of wildlife and decorate this tidy little shrubs, columnar growing habit. Much loved for its golden leaflets that later transform to gold, be sure to give your Japanese Barberry centre stage in your garden this season. It would sit wonderfully in borders, patio containers and cottage themed landscapes, offering vibrancy and great texture. It will thrive in semi shade and develop in height to 150cm, along with a spread of 100cm.
