Blackberries and Tayberries are among the easiest berries to grow in the UK, thriving in a wide range of soil and site conditions. They will even yield a good crop when grown in semi-shade. Height: 2m (6′). Spread: 2.5m (8′). Estimated time to first crop after planting: 16-20 months. Time to reach peak yields: 28-32 months. The collection includes 1 plant of each: Blackberry ‘Loch Ness’ ? ideal for smaller gardens, producing firm, glossy black conical fruits on short, upright, thornless canes. Tayberry ‘Buckingham’ ? a hybrid of loganberry and black raspberry, yielding large, sweet, aromatic fruits up to 5cm (2) long. Our 1-year-old plants are container-grown for superior strength and quality, offering you healthier, more robust plants than field-grown alternatives.
