Betula nana
An interesting Dwarf Birch which isn’t seen very often but makes a wonderful specimen shrub for woodland gardens and borders. Betula nana creates a compact shrub with its low spreading habit and rigid stems. Throughout the spring the catkins nestle amongst the luscious red-brown foliage. As autumn approaches the foliage changes to autumnal shades of red and golden yellow. A tough Arctic Birch which is ideal for shallow soils. Height: 60cm (24). Spread: 120cm (48).
