Description
Blackthorn (Hedging)
A native species, the Blackthorn hedge plant has profuse white flowers on bare black stems in April, followed by small, dark green leaves on the spiny stems and blue sloes in autumn. Supplied height 30-45cm – in a 2 litre pot. The more you buy the more you save! Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Try the petals steeped in wine for an extra zing to your drink, or crystallise them for use as baking decoration or that extra sweet treat. For more details about edible flowers click here.
