Buddleja Alternifolia
Buddleja alternifolia is a vigorous species from China. This deciduous shrub is cloaked in narrow grey-green foliage that contrasts nicely with the pale lilac flowers from July to September. The long panicles of fragrant blooms are sweetly scented and always busy with pollinating insects. With a little effort its bushy growth and arching branches can be trained as a small tree or standard to great effect. Awarded and RHS AGM for its garden performance, this superb Butterfly Bush makes an excellent specimen for sunny borders and wildlife areas. Height and spread: 400cm (157).
