Buddleja davidii Miss Ruby, is a cultivar that proved popular at RHS Wisley’s buddleja trials. It is one of the truest red varieties. From midsummer to autumn, the fat, magenta-red flower spikes attract clouds of butterflies to their scented blooms. They also provide plenty of hue. This medium-sized shrub is well-proportioned for smaller gardens and is also quite vivid. Even better, this deciduous shrub is sterile, so you won’t have to deal with unwanted seedlings.
