Cedrus atlantica
Cedrus atlantica, also known as the Atlas Cedar, is a magnificent evergreen conifer from the Pinaceae family, native to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and Algeria. This majestic tree starts with a conical shape in its youth, but as it matures, it develops a broader, spreading canopy. It requires ample space to reach its full potential and showcase its grandeur. The tree features striking silvery-blue needles and distinctive barrel-shaped cones. With proper space, it can grow to a height of 12 meters (39’3) and spread out to 8 meters (26’2).
