Centaurea dealbata
Centaurea dealbata, also known as Bachelor’s Buttons, forms dense bunches of large, ornately cut foliage. This clump-forming perennial grows in bunches. From midsummer to fall, cornflowers produce an abundant supply of lavender-pink flowers that are alluring to butterflies and other pollinating insects. Plant them in large quantities and they will stitch together to form beautiful swaths of ground cover. This low-maintenance perennial is ideal for herbaceous borders, cottage gardens, and wildlife habitats. Height: 90cm (36). Spread: 60cm (24).
