Cephalotaxus harringtonia ‘Fastigiata’

A small, hardy conifer with erect branches and radially arranged leaves up to 8 cm (3 inches) long. The female tree produces plum-shaped 3 cm (114) plums, hence the name Plum Yew.) fruit with a single hard seed surrounded by a fleshy green covering; the leaf shape is similar to that of a yew. If fruits are desired, a male pollinator must be planted nearby. Plant it in a shady location; it can tolerate full sun but does not like extremely hot summers.
