Cercis chinensis ‘Shirobana’
This rare Cercis is a slow-growing shrub or small tree that offers multiple seasons of interest. A mass of small, pea-like, white blooms will clothe the branches of Cercis chinensis ?Shirobana? in March and April to create a superb spring display. Glossy, deep green, heart-like leaves follow the flowers to provide an eye-catching foliage covering during summer. In autumn, ?Shirobana? offers further interest when the leaves transform to golden-yellow before they fall. An excellent specimen plant that also looks very effective underplanted with spring bulbs in sunny borders or grown in a large patio pot. Height and spread: 3m (9.8ft).
