Quince, which blooms all year, adds a lot of interest to the garden. Chaenomeles x superba is a species of Chaenomeles. ‘Jet Trail’ is a particularly elegant variety, bearing simple, white cup-shaped flowers from March onwards, even before the foliage emerges. The glossy summer leaves and golden yellow fruits continue the show into autumn. This deciduous shrub has spiny stems and a low, spreading habit, making it ideal for creating intruder-proof ground cover. Grow it as a striking wall shrub instead. Height: 100 cm (39).
