Description
Chaenomeles x superba ‘Pink Lady’
This well known cultivar holds an RHS AGM for its excellent garden performance. As the name suggests Chaenomeles x superba ‘Pink Lady’ bears deep coral pink, cup shaped flowers in early spring, brightening even the dullest days! The nectar rich blooms offer a useful food source for early pollinators, when few other plants are in flower. By autumn, the blooms of Flowering Quince are replaced by golden-green fruits that can be made into jellies and preserves. This spreading deciduous shrub makes a delightful wall shrub or useful impenetrable ground-cover. Height: 150cm (59). Spread: 200cm (78).
