Cherry ‘Hartland’ (patio)

Cherry ‘Hartland’ is a wonderful little cherry tree that will not need a large garden. It has a lovely spring display of white flowers. This attracts a swarm of pollinating insects. This naturally compact variety has been grafted onto a dwarf rootstock. This results in a nice patio tree that can be grown in a large container. This variety is ideal for a small, sunny patio dessert cherry. Its growth will be restricted if grown in a large patio container, and it will remain only 1.5 m (59) tall. From late July to August, the sweet, dark red cherries that follow are delicious picked straight from the tree. Cherry ‘Hartland’ is self-fertile and does not require another plant to pollinate it. Once planted, the estimated time to first cropping is two years. Time to best yields is estimated to be four years. Cherry rootstocks: Gisella 5 – Dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 2m (6′,6) Gisella 6 – Semi vigorous, reaching a mature height of up to 4m (13′) Colt – Semi vigorous, reaching a mature height of 5m (16′)
