This unusual fruiting shrub originates from Chile and provides all year round interest and fruits with incredible, strawberry, mint and bubblegum flavours! Chilean Guava ‘KA-POW’ is an eye-catching evergreen shrub bred in the UK and produces small, dark green foliage which is fragrant when crushed. Pink-white, bell-shaped blooms will appear from May to June, exuding a sweet perfume and attracting plenty of garden pollinators. The flowers are followed by dark red fruits in autumn which smell amazing and boast an incredibly unique flavour! To enjoy the fruits at their best, wait until they fully ripen at the end of autumn before picking. This ornamental shrub requires very little maintenance and is hardy in most parts of the UK if grown in a warm, sunny spot, sheltered from cold winds. Height: 1.5m (5′). Spread: 1m (3′).
