Holly trees provide year round interest, evergreen foliage and clusters of rich red winter berries. These dense, conical trees are loved by birds who benefit from the winter food source and find shelter in their dense foliage.This Holly Duo provides a warm welcome during the festive period and handsome evergreen foliage and structure for the rest of the year. Holly Duo Gift contains:Ilex (Holly) meserveae ‘Blue Angel’ – The bright evergreen foliage and red berries of this female Holly, are a stand out feature during the winter months, but are not the star of the show for this variety. Holly ‘Blue Angel’ has a special feature where it protects its leaves from frost and ice by producing a special blue layer which turns it’s foliage blue during the coldest days! As a small variety of Ilex, it makes up for its small size with its abundance of red berries and only gets better with age. Height and spread: 2.5m (8.2ft).Ilex (Holly) aquifolium ‘Argentea Marginata’  –  Young purple-pink leaves mature to provide lustrous, dark green foliage with a bright silvery edge. The creamy white summer flowers give way to clusters of scarlet red winter berries that provide an essential food source for birds during the coldest months. In time, Holly ‘Argentea Marginata’ forms a magnificent, conical evergreen tree that makes a superb specimen for year round interest. This attractive female variety is ideal for woodland areas and low maintenance gardens. Ultimate height if left unpruned: 15m (50ft). Ultimate spread if left unpruned: 4m (12ft).
