Clematis viticella genes can be seen in this beauty! Recurved magenta tepals surround a central crown of pale pink petals to give the appearance of double flowers. Clematis ‘Avant-Garde’ blooms last a long time and provide a lot of summer colour. Like all viticella varieties, this hardy climber is tough and resilient, with a vigorous habit. Pruning is simple at the end of the season by cutting stems to just above ground level. Because of this pruning method, it is ideal for growing mature shrubs and trees. Height: 240cm (94).
