Cornus alba ‘Aurea’ is a low-maintenance shrub that quickly fills a gap in the border. Summer blooms are cream, and the large leaves are a glowing golden colour. But, the red winter stems really stand out! Dogwood is a hardy, trouble-free shrub for a sunny location. It prefers moist, well-drained soil but can also tolerate consistently damp conditions. Dogwood is commonly grown for its brilliant bare stems, which provide stunning winter colour. Height: 3m (10′). Spread: 2.4m (8′).
