Cornus canadensis
Cornus canadensis is a lovely ground cover plant that can be used in troubled areas of the garden. Plants form a weed-controlling blanket and are ideal for planting beneath trees and shrubs; a single creeping dogwood plant can spread one metre! The plants are herbaceous and form a dense mat of oval leaves that grow in whorls on stems only 15cm (6) tall. White flowers bloom in late spring and are followed by colorful, bright red berries. Height: 15cm (6). Spread: up to 1m (39).
