Description
Cornus sanguinea ‘Anny’s Winter Orange’
Cornus sanguinea ‘Anny’s Winter Orange’ is a shrub for all seasons. It adds colour to the garden in a variety of ways throughout the year. The highlight is its fiery orange-red stems that almost glow with vibrancy throughout winter, even on grey days. Fresh green leaves emerge in the spring, along with a profusion of simple white flowers. Since this dogwood is generally low-maintenance, it becomes an excellent choice for a low-maintenance garden, particularly in borders, shrubberies, and woodland areas. The foliage cloaks the shrub throughout the summer. This forms a dense, rounded habit before changing to gorgeous shades of coral pink, orange, and yellow in autumn before falling to reveal the striking bright stems. Height: 2.5m (8?). Spread: 2.5m (8).
