Description
Corylopsis spicata
Corylopsis spicata is a spreading variety that will quickly find a home in your garden. It is also known as Spike Witch Hazel and originated in Japan. It is a low-maintenance deciduous shrub that will look great at the back of a border or as part of a shrubbery or woodland garden. In late winter or early spring, delicately scented racemes of yellow flowers hang down from bare stems, followed by deep red leaf shoots that turn dark green as the foliage emerges. Height: 200cm (79). Spread: 300cm (118).
