Ideal as a groundcover shrub, Cotoneaster horizontalis ‘Variegatus’ has small dark green leaves, each delicately edged in white. The herringbone patterning of its growth make it a particularly attractive structural plant too, it can also be trained up walls and fences on wires. In late spring and early summer, small pink-white flowers will appear which eventually form bright red berries, making it attractive to birds in your garden
