Bred in Scotland, the Highlander™ series have been selected for their vigour, disease-resistance and hardiness, producing strong plants with sturdy, self-supporting stems that reach around 1 metre, making them more manageable and more suited to windy locations and container-growing than the very tall excelsior hybrids. Their robust habit is paired with exceptionally dainty flowers boasting frilly, doubled petals and unusual colour blends to create bi and even tricolour effects. Keep deadheading the flower spikes to encourage the production of flowering side shoots and you’ll get enough blooms to spare some for vase arrangements.
