Diervilla rivularis ‘Kodiak Black’
Thriving in sun or shade and tolerating challenging conditions, Diervilla rivularis ‘Kodiak Black’ is a low maintenance, deciduous shrub boasting richly coloured foliage and fragrant yellow flowers. The bronze-red foliage is especially intense in spring and autumn, forming a useful foil to flowering perennials and summer bedding. In summer, it bears clusters of contrasting yellow flowers that are a magnet for bees and butterflies. This hard-working shrub requires little attention and will even cope with dry shade. Ultimate height: 90cm to 120cm (3-4ft). Ultimate spread: 120cm to 150cm (4-5ft).
