Echium russicum
This stunning Vipers Gloss blooms from May until November and generates masses of cherry red flowers, that cloak its bundles of upright flower spikes. They tower upon a compact growing habit of fresh green leaflets, that are elegantly shaped like swords. An easy to care for perennial that works well in coastal, wildlife and alpine gardening schemes, be sure to also incorporate into patio pots and tropical themed landscapes. This Echium will remain happy in direct sunlight and will progress to a height of 90cm, along with a spread of 50cm.
