Erysimum ‘Fire & Flame’
Erysimum ‘Fire & Flame’ is just what you need to warm your spirits and awaken your senses after the cold, grey winter. Red to purple flames flash along the petals against a gold to creamy yellow background creating a fiery glow of flickering shades. The vivid flowers are held just above compact and bushy mounds of semi-evergreen foliage, making them perfect for adding pops of colour to the front of borders or containers.Flowering from March, Erysimum ‘Fire & Flame’ will be one of the first flowers to brighten your garden, continuing to bloom for many weeks and coinciding with tulips. Although Erysimum are short-lived perennials, they are so rewarding, tough, drought-resistant, undemanding and – in the end – easy to root from cuttings – one can hardly hold it against them! The nectar-rich flowers also attract beneficial pollinators and they make lovely bouquets. Height and spread: 50cm (20in).
