There are few shrubs to match Escallonia in offering such a complete package: evergreen, fast-growing, long-flowering, low-maintenance and versatile. Escallonia ‘Pink Spire’ is a variety with an upright habit so it is particularly useful for growing as a medium to tall hedge. It can also be used as an erect border or wall shrub. It tolerates considerable trimming, so its size can be easily controlled as desired. From June to September, its glossy green leaves are covered with upright spikes of tubular pink blooms that attract pollinators. Escallonia ‘Pink Spire’ will cope with challenging situations such as coastal gardens and is generally untroubled by pests or disease. Height and Spread: 2.5-5m (8.2-16.4ft).
