Description
Euonymus alatus
A very neat and compact Spindle variety, Euonymus alatus ‘Compactus’ works well in small gardens where space is at a premium. Corky wings will emerge from branches, similar to its bigger cousins, which make a very nice feature when leaves drop in winter. In autumn, the colour display is on full show ? green foliage transforming into pinks and reds, glowing in the light. Colourful foliage is joined by pretty green blooms and small fruits that split to reveal bright orange seeds. Ideal for borders in woodland garden schemes. Height and spread: 1.5m (59?).
