In summer, globular, furry white buds open into puffy dark red petals that are white on the outside. The petals surround a starry burst of dark red filaments carrying yellow anthers. In hot summers, the blooms are followed by delicious green fruit. Scoop out the juicy, sweet pulp to enjoy a medley of tropical fruit flavours and an aromatic bouquet.
