One of the highest yielding fig varieties around which is ideal for the cooler UK climate. Fig ‘Osbourne?s Prolific’ produces beautiful lobed leaves and a profusion of delicious, sweet dark-skinned figs with golden flesh that can be harvested from late summer. Fig plants make a showy feature when fan trained against a wall in a sunny spot or grown in a patio pot. A second crop may develop in late summer which will ripen the following summer if protected appropriately. Great for making chutney and jam! Height: 3m (9′). Spread: 4m (13′). Estimated time to cropping once planted: 1 year. Estimated time to best yields: 3 years.
