Shorter than most other varieties, but sporting up to 20 full-size blooms on each stem, Gladioli ‘Gladdies Trio’ offers a profusion of flamboyant flowers in a more manageable package. Erect flower spikes up to 80cm tall, carry large, funnel-shaped blooms in a superb range of colours above clumps of sword-like leaves. Flowering from midsummer to autumn, the bulbs can be planted at staggered intervals for an even longer display. These ostentatious flowers are loved by florists and their strong stems make for excellent vase displays if you can bear to cut them! Plant Gladioli ‘Gladdies Trio’ into borders or containers – not only will they deliver a glorious splash of colour, but they will also be welcomed by pollinating insects.
