Gooseberry ‘Xenia’
Gooseberry Xenia is a popular addition to the summer soft fruit garden! Awarded the RHS award of Garden merit. Thorny at first, it will lose the thorns as it gets older, large red fruit is surprisingly sweet and will ripen in time for summer gooseberry recipes. A hardy deciduous shrub with strong upright stems has very good resistance to mildew. Prefers an open sunny site. Height and spread: 120cm (48).
