Hemerocallis ‘Mini Stella’
A dwarf version of Hemerocallis ?Stella D’Oro?, ?Mini Stella? is perfect for smaller gardens, rock gardens and container growing. This heavy budding variety bears an abundance of lightly-fragrant, small, yellow, funnel-like blooms with yellow-green throats in early summer, reblooming again in midsummer. The Greek word ?Hemerocallis? translates as ?Beautiful for a Day?, but this hardworking perennial is beautiful all summer long! Although each scented flower only lasts a day, new buds are produced from June to September, with hundreds of buds produced over a single season. Long, vibrant green, strappy leaves are semi-evergreen and provide wonderful foliage texture, colour and ground cover. Hemerocallis are robust plants that thrive in most soil types, including heavy clays, as long as they are grown in a sunny location. Height: 30-50cm (30-20in). Spread: 50cm (20in).
