Description
Hibiscus syriacus ‘Pink Chiffon’
Despite its late flowering, this hardy, deciduous shrub’s spectacular display is well worth the wait for one last burst of summer color. From late summer to mid-autumn, its branches are laden with lacy, soft pink flowers. Each bloom has a collar of rounded petals that are finely laced with darker pink veining and a cluster of smaller petals in the center that creates an appealing ruffled effect. As a specimen plant or trained into a small tree, Hibiscus syriacus ‘Pink Chiffon’ makes an excellent backdrop to mixed borders. Height: 2.5 m (98). Spread: 2 m (78).
