Hosta ‘Sum and Substance’ bears tall stems of bell-shaped, pale lilac flowers in July and August. This striking, robust perennial has earned an RHS AGM and is well-liked. It’s ideal for a moist, shady spot where it can stand out as a specimen plant. This popular hosta has huge, heart-shaped yellow foliage that can grow up to 50cm (20) long. With age, the massive leaves become gently wrinkled, resulting in a gently ribbed texture. Height: 75cm (30). Spread: 120cm (48).
