Houttuynia cordata ‘Flore Pleno’ (Marginal Aquatic)
A versatile hardy perennial that will tolerate dry soils or wet pond margins, in sun or shade. Houttuynia cordata ‘Flore Pleno’ forms dense, spreading clumps of vibrant green, heart-like, foliage with eye-catching burgundy margins. From late spring, flower spikes of beautiful, fully double white blooms emerge above the aromatic leaves. Ideal for shallow pond margins and bog gardens. Height: 40cm (16). Spread: 100cm (39). Planting depth: Zones 1 & 2 to 10cm (4) below water level. Culinary note: The leaves have an orange like smell and make a marvellous flavouring in salads.
