Rich red lacecap flowerheads are set off well by a backdrop of dark green foliage in this eye-catching cultivar. The Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Red Bull’ is an excellent patio plant. Its compact, bushy habit is ideal for pots, where it will produce colour for a long summer. The foliage turns gold and scarlet in the autumn, and faded flowers create skeletal shadows, extending the season of interest well into the winter. This deciduous shrub is hardy and dependable, and it looks well in mixed borders. Height and spread: 120 cm (48).
